Job Title Work-at-Height / Rescue Trainer Department Training Location West (Singapore) Overall Job Objectives Deliver Work-At-Height and Rescue Courses according to training management system. Core Responsibilities Responsible for the safety of up to 24 students working at height. Expected To
Carry out actual physical demonstrations at heights ranging from 7 to 20 metres
Wear harness and personal safety gear weighing 5kg or more
Conduct demonstrations / courses on-site (under hot sun) e.g. construction
sites, shipyards, petrochemical plants etc.
Undergo attachment to Operations Department to gain necessary experience
Qualifications Academic Qualifications:
Minimum WSQ Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health or equivalent
Minimum of a Diploma from Polytechnic or equivalent
Full ACTA Certificate
WLPN Level 6 and above
Mandarin speakers required as some courses are run in Mandarin
At least 3 years’ work experience
Experience in work at height (e.g. rope access, scaffold erection, work in suspended scaffolds etc.) is preferred.
Experience in Workplace Safety and Health preferred
Necessary training is provided (minimum bond period may apply)
Physically & Medically Fit
Able to present to & engage adult learners ranging from workers to managerial level
Requires excellent one-on-one and group presentation and facilitation skills.
Ability to use a variety of learning/training concepts and principles is required along with knowledge of adult learning.
Questioning and feedback skills, customer service orientation and commitment to quality, responsibility, high work standards, and initiatives.
