Project Engineer – Singapore – Competitive Rates
The client is a leading global healthcare company operating in over 100 countries worldwide. They provide solutions and manufacture health products on a large scale in various markets including consumer care, therapies and medicines.
They are seeking a Project Engineer to join one of their Pharmaceutical Manufacturing facilities based in Singapore.
The Role:Project Engineer (Junior to Intermediate)

Duties & Responsibilities
·Efficient and structured in problem solving / trouble shooting.
·Demonstrates ability to work independently and define the scope and boundary of work when given.
·Learn fast and resourceful enough to know how to network with different resources to develop a solution
·Effectively analyze, frame and present information in a clear and unambiguous manner to peers, supervisors, and management for decision making.
·Develops knowledge of the Safety, Quality and Engineering standards or applicable regulations and apply them when carrying out assigned tasks.
·Escalate the challenges faced during day to day work in timely manner to the appropriate level.
·Work collaboratively with other MMD sites to share best practices. Where applicable, network with Global Energy Team, outside technology and resources to drive improvements.
·Initiate and executes change controls as needed as well as managing capital projects for any upgrades or asset replacements
·Lead/participate in equipment failure troubleshooting and deviation investigations whenever required.
·Serve as liaison for ES CoE when working with other teams (IPT, GES, Site Safety, Site Services, GTO, etc.) or outside contractors
·Provide input during Basis of Design (BOD) and Detailed Design during large capital projects, applying good maintenance and reliability engineering principles whenever required.
·Supports direct supervisor to execute activities to meet site energy saving targets.
·Initiate and executes change controls.
·Lead/execute capital/expense projects for any upgrades or asset replacements across the site. E.g. maintenance related project, building renovation/ upgrading/ construction, energy improvement project, production/ process related projects, etc.
·Demonstrated project management skills while executing projects or change control to work in cross functional team to complete project successfully.
·Raise RFCs for capital projects, update site capital forecast vs actual spend tracker on routine basis.
·Leads in the selection of process equipment and production/utilities systems for the assigned project
·Lead feasibility studies / reviews, hazards and operability studies / reviews on new and modified processes
·Work with cross functional team for preparing documents i.e. URS, design specifications, equipment data, PID drawings, etc. required for implementation for proposed new or retrofit projects.
·Support IPT/Engineering to develop all operational/maintenance procedures and documentation for new and modified process equipment.
·Performs jobs assigned by Supervisor pertaining to installation, modification, fabrication, testing, servicing and repairs of equipment, with adherence to site change control procedures or minor projects
·Work with cross functional team to prepare IQ/OQ documents Performs testing, commissioning, qualification (IQ, OQ) activities
·Provide support in the evaluation of design solutions and provides feedback to cross-functional team involved in project.
·As part of a project team or Individually responsible for the development, execution and documentation of small projects within the allotted timeline, budget, design requirements, and established quality standards involved in the selection and evaluation of third-party contractors
·Identifies, executes and makes improvement on routine work activities
·Participates in the assessment or improvement studies to enhance equipment or system efficiency, reduce energy cost/usage and other cost saving/avoidance projects
•Approx. 5 years of experience gained working in the Pharma / Biotech industry
•Experience gained working to GMP, GAMP and FDA compliant facilities
•Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
•Experience in various project stages in API / Biotech facilities.
