Program Objectives
This program aims to develop competent health and safety professionals. Graduates will acquire a broad knowledge of health and safety principles and practices, effectively allowing them to discharge workplace health and safety responsibilities in any employment sector, in all parts of the world.
Program Duration
Candidates will be given no more than 12 months from date of acceptance to complete the course.
Learning structure
Learning is mainly through private study time.
However, there are mandatory assignments which must be submitted. These assignments will be in the form of exam style questions. Candidates will be carefully evaluated on their assignments, which will determine their readiness for the exam(s).
In addition, there are 4 revision classes from 630pm to 1030pm at Simply Safety’s learning centre. During these revision classes, there will be closed-book Mock Exams and more exam style practices.
Certificate
Upon graduating from the program, successful candidates will be awarded the certificate by NEBOSH from the United Kingdom.
Entry Requirement
NEBOSH does not require any minimum formal certification or education. However, it is advised that candidates must be able to read and write English as all course materials, instructions and exams will be conducted in English.
Location
NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) classes will be held in Singapore. However special arrangements can be made with corporate clients of a particular class size.

Unit IGC1 – Management of international health and safety
- Foundations in health & safety
- Policy
- Organising for health & safety
- Promoting a positive health & safety culture
- Risk assessment
- Principles of control
- Monitoring; review and audit
- Occupational incident and accident investigation, recording and reporting
Unit IGC2 – Control of international workplace hazards
- Movement of people and vehicles – hazards and control
- Manual and mechanical handling – hazards and control
- Working equipment hazards and control
- Electrical hazards and control
- Fire hazards and control
- Chemical and biological health hazards and control
- Physical and psychological health hazards and control
- Construction activities – hazards and control
Unit IGC3 – International health and safety practical application
- Assess a candidate’s ability to conduct a safety inspection of a workplace and identify its hazards.
- After identification of the hazards, prepare a report to management to convince them to take appropriate remedial actions to rectify the hazards.
Unit Assessment (Exam)
Units IGC1, IGC2 and IGC3 are each assessed by a 2-hour examination. All questions are compulsory. To be awarded the certificate from NEBOSH UK, candidates must successfully complete (pass) all these Units.

1) First purchase the e-learning module at $380 and this gives you time and materials to study at your own place
2) If you wish, purchase the Textbook at $150
3) Later, purchase the evening classes (theory) and the preparation classes (for exam) at $250 (IGC1)
4) Purchase the evening classes (theory) and the preparation classes (for exam) at $250 (IGC2)
5) Lastly when you are ready, Select and enrol for your exam dates. IGC 1 and IGC 2 at $300 each. IGC 3 at $200.
