• To support and administer all WSH related initiatives and report to WSHO/PM/PD.
• Proactively identify hazards and offer solutions to create an incident-free workplace.
• To intervene effectively for unsafe situations and investigate accidents (if any), identify causes, and take necessary actions to prevent similar occurrences.
• Assist the WSHO in conducting safety inspections at the site and ensuring non-compliances are properly recorded and closed out promptly.
• Coordinate with safety supervisors to ensure safety processes and regulations are adhered to by all workmen.
• Assist in the conduct and arrangement of safety briefings, toolbox meetings, and other safety-related campaigns, events, programs, and training.
• Willing to work on weekends if any EHS issues of such a situation arise.
• Other duties may be assigned on a need basis. Job Requirements
• Diploma in Occupational Safety Management or equivalent
• Possess Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health
• Obtained Risk Management course, work at height assessor, supervise safety lifting operation, and occupational first aid (AED+CPR) certifications
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in the Singapore Construction Industry, particularly in high rise commercial building projects and A&A works preferred

Entry requirements
There are no entry requirements for this qualification, however it is important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.
NEBOSH recommends that learners undertaking this qualification should reach a minimum standard of English equivalent to an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 or higher in IELTS tests.

NEBOSH Unit IG1: Management of Health & Safety
Element 1: Why we should manage workplace health and safety
1.1 Discuss the moral, financial and legal reasons for managing health and safety in the workplace
1.2 Explain how health and safety is regulated and the consequences of non-compliance
1.3 Summarise the main health and safety duties of different groups of people at work and explain how contractors should be selected, monitored and managed
Element 2: How health and safety management systems work and what they look like
2.1 Give an overview of the elements of a health and safety management system and the benefits of having a formal/certified system
2.2 Discuss the main ingredients of health and safety management systems that make it effective – policy, responsibilities, arrangements
Element 3: Managing risk – understanding people and processes
3.1 Describe the concept of health and safety culture and how it influences performance
3.2 Summarise how health and safety culture at work can be improved
3.3 Summarise the human factors which positively or negatively influence behaviour at work in a way that can affect health and safety
3.4 Explain the principles of the risk assessment process
3.5 Discuss typical workplace changes that have significant health and safety impacts and ways to minimise those impacts
