International

World Health Organization (WHO)

One of WHO's functions is to promote the improvement of working conditions. The World Health Assembly endorsed the WHO Global Plan of Action on Workers' Health (GPA) which is a follow up of the WHO Global Strategy on Occupational Health for All. WHO has developed a Global workplan in collaboration with the WHO Network of Collaborating Centres based on the objectives of the GPA.

International Social Security Association (ISSA)

The ISSA Social Security Web portal provides comprehensive information, news, data and analysis on social security developments worldwide. Working conditions have a major and direct impact on the health and well-being of workers. The preservation of the health of every human being is therefore a key objective of social security. International Association of Labour Inspection (IALI)

IALI is the global professional association for labour inspection. It was established in 1972, and currently has over 100 members worldwide. IALI has always worked in close partnership with the International Labour Office and other host country organisations, and is increasingly working at regional levels.

European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA)

EU-OSHA aims to be the central provider of information required for an employer or worker to address safety and health issues effectively and ensures that it is relevant to every user, regardless of size of enterprise or sector of activity. Set up in 1996 by the European Union and located in Bilbao, Spain, EU-OSHA is the main EU reference point for safety and health at work.

International

International Commission on Occupational Health (ICOH)

ICOH is an international non-governmental professional society whose aims are to foster the scientific progress, knowledge and development of occupational health and safety in all its aspects. ICOH is the world's leading international scientific society in the field of occupational health with a membership of 2,000 professionals from 93 countries.


International Ergonomics Association (IEA)

IEA is the federation of ergonomics and human factors societies around the world. The mission of the IEA is to elaborate and advance ergonomics science and practice, and to expand its scope of application and contribution to society to improve the quality of life, working closely with its constituent societies and related international organizations. International Network of Safety and Health Practitioner Organizations (INSHPO)

INSHPO is the global voice for the occupational safety and health profession and acts as a forum for international collaboration among professional organisations to improve safety and health at work.

Regional


Asia-Pacific Occupational Safety and Health Organization

APOSHO is composed of non-profit professional organizations devoted to the prevention of occupational accidents and diseases. Although full membership is given to non-governmental organizations in the Asia-Pacific region, any occupational safety and health organizations, even in other regions, can join as associate or affiliate members.

ASEAN Occupational Safety and Health Network (ASEAN-OSHNET)


European Forum of Insurances against Accidents at Work and Occupational Diseases

Its goal is to promote and safeguard the principle of a specific insurance against accidents at work and occupational diseases. It monitors the process of convergence between the systems in place in Europe against occupational accidents and occupational diseases. The Forum commits itself to improving the situation of workers who have suffered an accident or an occupational disease.


European Network Education and Training in Occupational Safety and Health (ENETOSH)

ENETOSH is an open network. Anyone who is committed to promoting quality in education and training in occupational safety and health and advancing the process of mainstreaming OSH into education and training at the national and European level can become a member. Organisations and experts from non-European countries are invited to take part as associated members.


European Network for Workplace Health Promotion (ENWHP)

ENWHP is an informal network of national occupational health and safety institutes, public health, health promotion and statutory social insurance institutions. The members and partners aim to improve workplace health and well-being and to reduce the impact of work related ill health on the European workforce.


European Network of Safety and Health Professional Organizations

ENSHPO brings together health and safety professional organisations from across Europe. ENSHPO acts as a forum where practitioners can exchange information, experiences and good practice on a wide variety of pertinent topics. The Network aims to develop a European-wide recognition of OSH practitioner qualifications and training.
