Safe Management Measures- how do you comply?
Singapore requires all businesses, companies, employers to comply to the Safe Management Measures requirements
This means businesses, companies, employers must develop Safe Management Measures for their premises and businesses. They must implement these Safe Management Measures. They must appoint a Safe Management Measures Officer to ensure that the Safe Management Measures are implemented.
This Safe Management Measures Officer must conduct inspections and show that he/she has inspected and the Safe Management Measures are implemented.
To show how the Safe Management Measures are implemented- the Safe Management Measures officer must be able to show completed checklists or inspection records or other means to show that it has been implemented.
While the Authorities have provided guidelines and advisories, there are no prescriptive checklists or documents for companies to follow.
