Workshop for CEO/ Top Management (bizSAFE Level 1)

Ministry of Manpower MOM conducts regular enforcement checks on industries to ensure that employers have measures in place to protect their workers from risks at work. This means workers and supervisors must be adequately trained in Safety. Which means companies must send their workers and supervisors for safety training. 

All these safety courses or WSQ MOM courses can be done in English, Tamil, Bengali, Thai, Burmese, Mandarin as long as they are approved by the Ministry of Manpower or WSH Council or SSG WDA. Do check if the training center is an approved training center by MOM or SSG.

The Ministry of Manpower MOM now since 2021 April has requested that all training centers upload the training status (competent or not yet competent) of workers and personnel who attend safety courses at approved safety training centers. The results can then be checked on Ministry of Manpower website- Check Worker Training Records

AWSHPP Assumed Skills and Knowledge

Participants/Learners will be able to listen, read, speak and write English at a proficiency level equivalent to the Employability Skills System (ESS) Level 2.

AWSHPP Course Outline for the WDA WSQ Apply Workplace Safety Health in Process Plants (AWSHPP ) are:

  • AWSHPP Identify the roles and responsibilities of an employee under WSH act

  • AWSHPP Identify and prevent fire and explosion hazards at workplace

  • AWSHPP Comply safe work practices and control measures for material handling

  • AWSHPP Comply safety work practices and control measures for mechanical and electrical works

  • AWSHPP Comply safe work practices and control measures when working on Specialized Operations

  • AWSHPP Comply safe work practices and control measures when working at heights

  • AWSHPP Comply safe work practices and control measures when working in a confined space

 

AWSHPP Course Duration of WSQ Apply Workplace Safety Health in Process Plant (AWSHPP):

  • 9 hours (Inclusive of assessment)

  • Upon completion of the AWSHPP course and passing the examination, a Statement of Attainment (SOA) from Skillsfuture Singapore (SSG) will be awarded.
